Winter Oulook for December, January and February appears show equal chances for warmer or cooler than normal for much of the country. The East coast and Southern U.S and Western Alaska are looking like it will be warmer than normal overall, while the Pacific Northwest and Southeast Alaska look to be cooler than normal. The precipitation outlook is showing above normal for the Great Lakes and Ohio Valley, parts of Arkansas, Northwest Tennessee, and much of Kentucky. Below Normal precipitation is likely for the Appalachians, the costal Southeast, as well as the Southwest!

The November-December-January Oulook continues to show La Nina. Above Average Tenperatures for much of the country. Signs also point to Above Normal Precipitation for Alaaka, the Pacific Northwest and the Great Lakes

Warmer than Normal Temperatures will likely continue Now through December thanks to a LaNina pattern. The pacific NW, Alaska, and Florida can expect Above Normal Precipitation during this time. A large area, much of the Southern Half of the U.S., can expect Below Normal precipitation.

The U.S. Department of Education has reportedly fired nearly all staff working in its office that supports children with disabilities, according to union sources.

The cuts hit the Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services (OSERS), which oversees federal funding and programs under the Individuals with Disabilities
Many long-time employees below senior leadership were laid off, leaving critical roles vacant.

Advocates warn that this move could severely undermine federal oversight of special education, leaving families of children with disabilities with fewer resources and less protection.

A lawsuit has already been filed, challenging the layoffs.
