Our maintenance team, led by newly appointed Clint McBroom, recently took a break from their busy schedule to connect, laugh, and plan for the upcoming year! 📅

The team met in Newton, visiting local favorites Billy Sims for lunch and Norm’s for a coffee. The team was able to spend some time learning more about one another and sharing some good laughs.

Members of the Newton USD 373 Board of Education spent the last two weeks talking to community members about an upcoming bond issue as they prepared to set a limit on how much funding to pursue.

HESSTON — On a seemingly normal afternoon at Camp David Kansas near Hesston a pr***en blonde sat in a folding chair, a woman in her 20s running a brush through her hair. The younger girl kept looking at a dress picked for her entrance to a party for the campers.

Seeing this on a day like this is always scary. Nobody was seriously injured and investigation continues after our Hometown Heroes were called to the NMC campus parking lot for a “unresponsive juvenile” in a car. The sleeping teen was treated by Newton Fire/EMS. Heat index at the time was 109.
Folks, be careful in this heat.
UPDATE: following initial treatment the juvenile was taken to Juvenile Intake for release/placement. They were sleeping in the car with the windows cracked.
