This year, Dr. Greg Sanchez is celebrating 10 years as the owner of Home Instead Pasadena. But the lessons he shares sound like someone who’s been doing this for a lifetime.

Greg didn’t come from the care industry.
He came from science—chemistry labs, research, and higher education. But real life had already taught him what most textbooks can’t.

He was a family caregiver first. He lived with his grandparents. Supported them through aging. Learned how dignity, patience, and hands-on care could change a person’s day—and their life.

That experience is still at the center of how he leads today.
What’s guided him through 10 years of business ownership?

He says it comes down to three things:
💚 Hire for heart.
“I always ask: Did you just visit your grandparents—or did you actually care for them?”
💚 Trust your crazy ideas.
“In grad school, a friend gave me a card that said that. It stuck. Some things I’ve tried in care were unconventional. But they worked.”
💚 Remember who you’re here for.
“We didn’t get into this to only support high-income seniors. We wanted to be able to support everyone.”

Greg’s grandmother recently turned 100. She’s still aging at home—with care, with family, and with the kind of connection he’s spent his career building for others.

We’re proud to celebrate this milestone with you, Greg.
Thank you for the leadership, heart, and insight you’ve brought to our franchise network—and to every family you’ve served in Pasadena. 🎉

This Father’s Day, go beyond the card and support Dad from heart to brain. 💚🧠

Here are 5 simple ways to check in on his health: ↓
🫀 Ask about his heart.
“Have you had your blood pressure checked lately?”

🧠 Keep his brain engaged.
“Want to play a game or share a favorite memory?”

🍽️ Share healthy meals.
“Let’s cook something with brain and heart-healthy ingredients.”

😴 Talk about rest and stress.
“How are you sleeping these days? Anything weighing on you?”

🚶‍♂️ Move together.
“Up for a walk after dinner?”

Because keeping Dad strong is one of the best gifts you can give. 🔁 Share this with someone who loves their dad, too.
