I'm simply heartbroken this morning to learn about the death of Hersh Goldberg-Polin and the other 5 hostages. Many of you who have seen his parents interviewed on Chris Cuomo's nightly show on NEWSNATION, with David Muir and at the DNC where his Mother just totally broke down at the podium will understand what this poor kid had to endure as a prisoner the past 10 months since October 7th. The Israeli Army has mercifully put a hold on any attacks so that everyone on both sides can have their children vaccinated for polio. Yes, Polio. It took a disease to trigger a ceasefire. Hammas doesn't care about a ceasefire because they're obsessed with the idea that anyone who is Jewish should be killed. Israel is relentlessly on a quest looking for their hostages and this whole situation is never ending and the innocent Palestinians who are bystanders are STILL getting killed. The numbers dying on all three sides are in the tens of thousands and it's sad and sickening. Please pray for everyone there. In our collective lifetimes there has never been a situation like this with two sides engaged in a war combined with a third side as innocent bystanders used as Human Shields that have yielded the countless deaths, Despair and destruction. Please Pray for the whole region. I've always prayed in these situations. I did after 9/11 when friends of mine perished on that day. 23 years later I find that Prayer and Time can help you heal personally. For the families and friends that lose anyone in these tragedies, Time and Prayers are helpful, but they'll never bring back anyone that dies. It is a little cliche, but every anniversary of 9/11 that goes by, you have to pray and always say NEVER FORGET. It applies to 9/11 and it applies to Hersh and everyone that died on October 7th. To me, Every Year 9/11 and 10/7 will forever be tied together. Never Forget....
