Follow them closely to avoid delays or surprises:

1. Do not take on new debt, no new credit cards or loans.
2. Do not change jobs, employment stability is key.
3. Do not max out your credit cards, keep balances low.
4. Do not close any credit accounts, this affects your credit score.
5. Do not touch your down payment funds, keep them safe and untouched.
6. Do not buy new furniture or large items, especially not on credit.
7. Do not co-sign loans for anyone, even with good intentions.
