On January 22, 2020 at 8pm Lewiston Police were dispatched to an address on Tuscarora Street in the village for a burglary after the home owner returned home to find the house had been entered, ransacked and items were missing. A suspect was quickly identified and investigation revealed that the suspect was driving in the Lackawanna area. With the assistance of Lackawanna Police two suspects were taken into custody and turned over to Lewiston Police just after midnight.

Charged are 19 year old Cerra M Rice of Springville, with Burglary 2nd (C Felony), Criminal Mischief 3rd (E Felony), Grand Larceny 4th (E Felony), and Conspiracy 4th (E Felony). Also charged was Tyler M Smith of Arcade with Conspiracy 4th.

Under NYS new bail reform act both parties were released with appearance tickets for a future date in Lewiston Court.

Trick or Treating will be on October 31st for both the Town and Village of Lewiston. The time for the town is 4p-7p and the village will be 4p-8p. There is a Halloween party at the Red Brick School Building in the gym on the 31st from 6p-8p.

On 9/7/19 at approximately 8:45pm officers on the field of the Peach Festival received a report of a missing juvenile female. As patrols investigated it was determined that she was last seen with an adult male several hours before that she may have met online. By 9:30pm the female along with the male were located nearby Academy Park. The male 24 year old Connor M Landry of Canada was arrested and charged with Criminal S*x Act 2nd Degree (D Felony). He was arraigned and remanded to the Niagara County Jail in lieu of $2500 cash or $5000 bond.
