Trash car season is over! (A week ago, oops) I had a great season with 4 first place finishes and one second place finish! The car, the car ran real good. Time to put it away and move on to other projects but I couldn’t be happier with the outcome!

It’s finally done!
17- twelve hour days
80 lbs of .045 dual shield wire
3 1/2- 4’x8’ sheets of 3/16” AR500 steel

Had to make a cross bar to push the sheets into the bed with a 10 ton port-a-power

Lifted the sheets into the bed by hand

My back is sore, my knees feel like they’re going to explode.

The satisfaction of knowing I can do all this by myself is immense. I thought this project would never end but I kept my head down and focused on what I was doing at the moment. I didn’t even realize how far along I was until I was almost done.

Keep your head down and do your best work, the end will be here before you know it. If you do that, you can look back and be happy with what you’ve done.

I can’t believe I did it again! Somehow pulled off another win! It’s been a great season, if you haven’t had a chance to see it yet, there’s one more race this year in Tremonton on September 27th! Keep an eye out, I’ll announce when the video of this race is up on “the tube”

Ever been pimp slapped by a plate of steel? That was an interesting experience. Rang my bell pretty hard but I’m good. Welding hood took the hit pretty well. Keep your eyes peeled and your head turned on.

After many, many and several burns on my arms and elsewhere, I have received some new welding shirts and they are awesome! The greatest gift you can give is the gift of someone not burning themselves every day.
