We’re Putting Jessamine’s Farmers on the Cover!
This summer, Jessamine County Living Magazine wants to honor the people who plant, grow, raise, and harvest the very best of Kentucky. For our Summer 2025 cover, we’ll be featuring a group photo of local farmers — and we need your help to choose who’s in it!
Do you know a local farmer who pours their heart into the land? Someone who deserves to be recognized for the work they do — whether they raise cattle, grow produce, or run a family farm that’s been part of Jessamine for generations?
Nominate your favorite local farmers by sending us:
• Their name
• What farm they run
• What they grow, raise, or produce
• And why you think they should be featured

We are proud to have chosen Anthony, and are honored to have his own words printed in our pages of the December issue. Anthony was a great friend to the magazine, the radio, and to me personally.

Prior to his passing, Officer Anthony Ruggiero was selected as the ‘Outstanding First Responder’ in the Christmas 2024 edition of Jessamine County Living.

Below - in his own words - he details his journey of family and service.

I'm excited to share a sister venture of radio and magazine for our Central Kentucky businesses. Focal on Local (proud of my brain for coming up with that one lol). Something I've been wanting to do for a couple of years now.

This weekly one-sheeter (front and back on 17" x 11" big paper) is all about GOOD NEWS, community events, and positive stories happening right here in our towns. There will be a good newsletter for Jessamine, Garrard, Lincoln, and Boyle Counties. With 1,100 monthly copies printed in each town, uploaded on our website digitally, and distributed in high-traffic locations each month, it’s a quick and uplifting read that keeps you connected to what’s happening locally.

The Jessamine Homeless Coalition at 218 E Maple Street is still open on emergency plan with plenty of space
We have Closed the municipal Center in Wilmore since we had No one check in all day. We are going to open the Blue Building for the power outage emergency at 3PM. Utility crews are continuing to work on those affected
