Good Afternoon!!!

Life is too short to spend so much of it focused on drama and bu****it.

Sometimes you just need to put that s**t aside and go make somebody’s day.

You don’t have to know someone personally to check on them. You don’t have to have a history with them to ask if you can come hang out for a little while.

I just found out about this sweet lil 8-year-old’s story 5 days ago. A couple days ago, I went to see her. It was my first time meeting her, but that didn’t matter. We played, took walks all around, laughed, and just enjoyed the little moments. 🖤

Sometimes that’s all somebody wants.

To laugh.
To play.
To feel normal for a little while.
To have somebody show up.

So today’s reminder:

Put the drama and bu****it aside.

Go check on somebody. Go make somebody smile. Go spend a little time with someone who might need it.

You don’t have to know somebody to make a difference in their day.

Sometimes the little things mean everything. 🖤🪽

A little hometown recap. 🖤

Coming back to the place where so much of my story began and getting to stand on that stage meant more than I can really put into words.

I got to see some familiar faces, make some new memories, share moments with some of my people, and do something the old me never imagined I’d be doing.

I’m grateful for every person who showed up, every conversation, every laugh, every hug, and every moment I got to soak in.

Some pictures were taken, some moments weren’t — but I’ll carry all of them with me.

My hometown will always be a part of my story, but it doesn’t define who I am or where I’m going. I’m proud of the story I’m writing now. 🤘☺️

The one who has to decide you’re worth fighting for.

The one who has to stop waiting for somebody else to believe in you before you believe in yourself.

Nobody else is coming to live your life for you.

So be the one.

Be the one who gets back up.
Be the one who takes the chance.
Be the one who keeps going when it gets hard.
Be the one who finally says, “I’m not settling for less than what I know I’m capable of.”

You don’t need to be chosen.

Choose yourself.

Founding Artist and Host of the first ever The Weight and The Wings Live Experience!!!

Chicago-born hip-hop artist, fathers’ rights advocate, survivor, and founder of Indi Genius Media LLC.

For more than 20 years, his music has been a raw record of street life, loss, mental health battles, and the fight to stay standing.
He lost his father to violence at age 5, later faced addiction and personal demons, and used poetry and music as the way out.
His catalog isn’t just bars, it’s testimony.

He has had custody of his daughter since she was 7. After 18 years with no real help from the courts, he found and reconnected with his oldest son after being kept from him.
That fight is part of why he speaks on fathers’ rights, mental health, and self-reliance.

He opened the first chapter of Jehry Robinson’s Please Buy A Ticket To My Tour tour, and has also opened for Jamie Ray, The Clipse, and Crucial Conflict, while sharing bills with Joey Cool, UBI, and Matt Phoenix.

Good Morning!

Keep going.

Even when you don’t understand why you’re still here. Even when you’ve lost people who should still be here.

I know that feeling.

After my hometown show, I went and stood next to my best friend’s grave. His was the closest one, and whenever I can, I always go see him.

I miss him. He should’ve been there.

He LOVEDDDDD music. And honestly, all of my friends I’ve lost should still be here too. Some passed in really fu**ed up ways, and there are so many moments where I think about everything they should’ve been here to see.

He was hit by a train when I was a kid. Back then, I didn’t know how to process losing someone like that. Seeing him in a casket, all covered so you couldn’t see the marks… that one death was one step closer to the darkness I was heading toward.

But I’m still here.

I’m the 1% that lived to be able to share my story.

So if you’re in a dark place right now, if you’re carrying something you don’t know how to process, or you’re wondering what the hell you’re still here for…

Keep going.

I didn’t know where my story was going either.

And maybe you don’t know yet what’s waiting for you on the other side.

But your story might be the reason somebody else realizes they can make it too.

Your story isn’t over yet. 🖤🪽

Good Afternoon!!!

Sometimes you have to do the hard thing anyway.

Going back to where it all started was a LOT. I was full of emotions most of the day, but I did it anyway.

And y’all… it was HOTTTTT. The sun was literally shining straight down on me while I was performing. 🥵☀️

My people showed up and was a part of something big for me. 🫶

If you weren’t watching me live, I know you could still hear me from afar. In a lil mountain town, your voice travels… and mine definitely did.

Give me 45 minutes and you won’t hear one cover. You’re going to hear my story.

I may have been the girl who didn’t always speak up back then, but I’m not her anymore. Now I’ll scream my truth. I’ll scream for myself, and I’ll scream for those who still don’t have a voice.

Maybe this year I wasn’t meant to perform in front of the whole town. But next year? You best believe I’ll be going on later in the evening.

I faced a fear. I showed up. And I did it. 🪽
