to the summer of 2018 with an expanded at a studio in Brooklyn whose specialty was making live lathe-cut 7” records. The artist would play live and the stereo mix was cut directly onto the record as they were playing. It was an interesting concept that never lived up to its hype. The machinery was janky and the records never sounded good and didn’t even play that well as most of the time the tone arm would just skate across the surface and could even end up damaging the stylus. As always we had a good time though, our expectations were low because we knew what to expect since someone I know very well was working there at the time.

The only thing i miss about LI (other than my friends) is the food. Today i skipped breakfast so i could have one of those old favorites for lunch, an Italian Hero. Other favs that I’ve indulged in since we arrived on Saturday are pizza, bagels, an egg sandwich and the Moriches Diner. The only one left on the list that I don’t think I’ll get to this time is White Castle, but there will be more pizza, bagels and another trip to the diner before we leave.

Gonna be bringing the Marshall stack to on Saturday night for .belle.curves gig. Don’t miss it.
