Hello, good peopleses of the world! Today is a very special day for me!
Two years ago, I bounced from my Aunt Traci’s SUV into the arms of the man who became my dad!
I immediately saw he had a bag of treats and that he didn’t know he was supposed to break them into smaller pieces, so I gobbled them as fast as I could before Aunt Traci had a chance to teach him better.
Turns out he didn’t know many things, and he had to call Aunt Traci and Aunt Ashley almost every day for a month!
What he also didn’t know was that I was about to make him my permanent tug partner. Once I saw he didn’t mind playing my favorite pastime, I was in his lap constantly with a toy and a smile, and he just couldn’t say “no” to my big brown eyes and beautiful smile.
A few weeks later, he formally adopted me from Rescue One. Those nice people had saved me from death row at the pound almost two years before and kept me for almost a year and a half before Dad came along.
Because other dogs had been mean to me as a runt of my litter, no one knew if anyone would adopt me, although I’ve always loved people, despite mg dislike for other dogs.
But they stuck with me, and Dad finally found me! He even created a brand for me called Rescue Dog Baseball, which we will develop to raise money for homeless animals.
In our two years, we’ve shared many happy and sad moments, but we love each other so much, and I have met so many other people who love me!
I also found out I have a Granny B who’s Dad’s mom! She didn’t like dogs at all. Then she met ME, and she now sometimes lets me lounge on her bed while she naps (Dad said he knows Jesus is coming soon when he sees miracles like that happen; I love Jesus, but I don’t know what that means).
What I need YOU to do, please, is celebrate by going to the site and donating a few dollars so they can help other dogs like me until our dads and moms give us forever homes. This is the best present you could give me.
Have a great day, and remember: you can’t spell “good” without “dog,” and “God” is “dog” spelled backward!
