Hola local filmmakers and movie lovers .. at 3pm on FEB. 15th, The Garde Arts Center in New London will be screening this year's Oscar nominated short films. The front doors will open at 1:30 for filmmakers & movie lovers to mix and mingle at a pre-screening cash bar up on the Pfizer Mezzanine Lobby. Following the Oscar shorts there will be a special screening of Donna Di Novelli's short film "WHEN LAST SEEN" We Hope to see YOU there!

Storytelling has been a part of us since the dawn of humanity. Long before cameras, screens, or scripts, our ancestors would gather around the fire and share stories that connected, inspired, and taught valuable lessons. That fire was more than warmth—it was a circle for connection.

Today, our "Firesite" looks a little different. It’s found in the glow of a screen, the flicker of a film reel, and the spark of a powerful story well told. Through video, film, and cinema, we continue that ancient tradition of storytelling—just with new tools and a bigger audience.

As we close out the year, we’re grateful for every story we’ve had the privilege to tell and every person who gathered around our "Firesite" to watch.

Last week, Connecticut Film and TV Alliance, Inc. came together with some of the most passionate and talented creatives, industry pros, and up-and-coming voices in film and television. From inspiring panel discussions to exciting live demos, powerful pitches, and unforgettable networking moments, this year’s conference was truly one for the books!

It was a great event to be apart of!
