Five soldiers were shot at Fort Stewart in Georgia during an active shooter incident, according to officials. A suspect has been apprehended.

Five soldiers were shot at Fort Stewart in Georgia during an active shooter incident, according to officials. A suspect has been apprehended.

President Donald Trump has been briefed on the shooting, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt posted on X, and the White House is "monitoring the situation."

The soldiers were treated on-site and moved to a hospital for additional treatment.

Charges dismissed

After being charged with assault and battery back in June for allegedly assaulting his associate, charges against 31-year-old Bryshere Y. Gray were dismissed July 30.

Gray, known best for his role as Hakeem Lyon on Fox’s hit show “Empire,” allegedly charged at Dustin Wilkins from behind a car during an altercation June 13 at Homewood Suites in Chesapeake.
