Spartan Echo The Spartan Echo is the student newspaper of Norfolk State University. SpartanEcho.org is the newspaper's website and Spartan Echo TV is the video component.

The Spartan Echo is a student newspaper serving the Norfolk State University community. SpartanEcho.org is the online component of the newspaper and Spartan Echo TV is the video and closed-circuit television component of the newspaper. Students from any major serve as volunteer staff and agree to adhere to the canons of journalistic ethics (as established by the Society of Professional Journalists

). The staff is advised by a faculty member of Norfolk State University's Department of Mass Communications and Journalism according to standards established by College Media Advisers, Inc. The newspaper and website are governed by the Norfolk State University Student Publication Board and funded through the Norfolk State University Office of Student Activities and Leadership.

As of April 4th, 2024, NSU decided to rekindle its past and bring back the privilege of outside and overnight visitation. This means that students are now allowed to have overnight visitation on weekends and can also have visitors who do not attend NSU. Originally students could not have overnight visitors due to curfew enforcements made by Housing and Residence Life....
