I’ve officially reached the stage of adulthood where a clean house is considered a good time.

I start by saying, "I’m just going to tidy up a little" and somehow I end up deep cleaning and reorganizing rooms and spaces that weren’t even on the agenda.

By the end of it, the house smells amazing, everything is organized and feels fresh, and I’m weirdly proud of myself.

A weekend reset I actually look forward to. 🏡😂🤎

I finally made it to Our Peoples Soulful Seafood in Norfolk, VA because my husband and I have been wanting to try it for forever! I heard so many good things about it, especially that they cook everything fresh to order. 😍🦀🍤🐟

But let me tell y’all why I LOVE the InKind app… 🤭

https://app.inkind.com/refer/ATG7F0UQ

I already had a $25 off a $50+ purchase reward, so I applied that. Then after paying, I earned another $12.48 back in cashback to use in the future. That’s how this app gets you! 😂 The rewards and cashback just keep stacking, and before you know it, you’re saving a lot of money just for eating out.

You don’t have to use your cashback right away. You can let it keep stacking up over time, and then use it whenever you want. That’s when the savings really start adding up.

Another example is when we went out to eat and our bill came to $139.86, but I had already accumulated $53.83 in cashback. I applied that to our bill, so we only paid $86.03 out of pocket + tip. I’m telling y’all… this app really works! I actually use it, so I’m not recommending something I’ve never tried. 🌝😆

If you enjoy trying new restaurants and saving money while you do it, I definitely recommend checking it out.

When you you decide to sign up (IT'S FREE!!! 😆), use my referral code! You’ll get $25, I’ll get $25 or $50 (depending). Either way we both win. 😆 So do the right thing, k? 💙

If you’ve never tried citric acid for cleaning, you’re missing out. It's one cleaning staple I always keep in my home. 🍋

I recently ordered this 5 lb bag from Amazon for $19.99 (https://amzn.to/4hfWAau) and it’s quickly become one of my favorite household staples.

Citric acid is amazing for dissolving mineral deposits and hard water buildup without needing a cabinet full of specialty cleaners.

Some of my favorite ways to use it:

🍋 Clean coffee makers and kettles

🛁 Remove hard water stains from sinks, tubs, and shower doors

🚿 Soak showerheads and faucets to remove mineral buildup

🧺 Freshen and clean the washing machine

✨ Help remove limescale from stainless steel and other household items

A little goes a long way, so this bag should last quite a while.

If you deal with hard water, this is definitely something worth keeping in your cleaning cabinet.

Is anybody else feeling this heat? 🥵 With heat indexes climbing well over 100°, I’ve been trying to stay hydrated as much as possible.
One of my favorite little refreshers lately has been lemon and cucumber ice water. It’s simple, crisp, and honestly just tastes so much more refreshing than plain water on these scorching days. 🍋🥒🧊
A little tip I love: slice extra lemons and cucumbers, freeze them, and use them just like flavored ice cubes. Toss a few into your glass whenever you refill your water. They help keep it nice and cold while adding a little burst of fresh flavor.
It’s one of those tiny habits that makes surviving these summer heat waves just a little easier. Stay cool and stay hydrated! 💛

I wanted a little more organized storage in my closet without spending a fortune, so I put this together for about $25! 🤎
The storage rack was only $1.50 from Dollar Tree, and I paired it with a set of fabric storage bins from Amazon which was $23.99.
The light gray board on top isn’t part of the rack. It’s actually a shelf from an old bookcase I threw away! I kept it, added it on top for extra stability, and now I have an even sturdier surface for stacking more.
Some of the best DIYs start with a simple idea and a few affordable finds. ✨

just a little life/update moment. ✨

i’m still here, still creating, still figuring out what i want this space to become... and honestly, i’ve been taking my time with it on purpose. i had to pivot a little and really get things aligned in a way that actually feels good to me creatively.

i never want to throw things together just to post or keep up appearances. if i share something, i want it to feel intentional, inspiring, useful, or at the very least… like me.

there’s a lot more coming soon though... more finds, more ideas, more cozy chaos, more things i genuinely love and enjoy sharing. i’ve just been behind the scenes rebuilding this space into something that makes me happy too.

thank you for being here while i figure it all out. seriously. ⋆𐙚₊˚⊹♡ᝰ.ᐟ

I truly appreciate all the love and patience you all have been showing. It’s taken me a little time to really map out the direction I want to take with Happily Whimsical Things, an extension of Happily Whimsical, and the brand overall. I have so many ideas and things I want to create… sometimes it honestly feels like my brain moves faster than my plans. 😂

But I’ve been working through it, and very soon I’ll start launching a few different things. Over time you’ll see everything come together piece by piece. Building a brand isn’t easy at all. There are plenty of moments where you try something and it doesn’t work, so it’s back to the drawing board. Sometimes you change your mind, and sometimes you discover a better way to do things.

The biggest thing I’ve learned is that you can’t wait until everything is perfectly figured out. Progress only happens when you start. So that’s exactly what I’m doing… starting, learning, and building as I go.

Stay happy. Stay whimsical, besties. ✨

People can sense authenticity. The real flex is when what you show matches how you live. When things are genuine, it shows naturally. It doesn’t need to be manufactured. No need to create a version of life that isn’t real just to make it look good to others.

I think I finally figured it out. I'm about to pivot again. Ever so slightly though. Stay tuned. ✨😉✨
