If you are not the appropriate person to fill this out, please direct this survey to the appropriate people within your schools, whether it is specific teachers, the ITRT, or the computer club that meets after school.

OVERVIEW OF ITEMS UP FOR DISCUSSION

• Possibility of adding a Cyber Security Category in 2017. Need to determine interest.

• Possibility of adding a Scratch Jr and Scratch Category in 2017 or 2018. Need to determine interest.

• We plan on combining 2 categories, Visual Programming and JAVA Programming and want to make sure there are no issues making this change. The new category would be named Object Oriented Programming.

Please join the conversation at noon today, March 3! Grace Little will be joining the 2nd half of the show.

In the second half of today's HearSay, we're joined by Grace Little, former director of Computer Services at Old Dominion University, for a look at 30 years of the Great Computer Challenge. For three decades, WHRO, ODU and the Consortium for Interactive Instruction have partnered to create this competitive opportunity for kids of all aged to flex their computational muscle! We'll look back at the past three decades and consider how advances in technology have changed the way students use computers to learn and interact with their worlds.
