I’ve been an Eagles fan for 36 years—not just because I chose them, but because my dad did. Through the highs and many lows, I stuck with my team, even when no one else believed in them. And now? The Eagles are champions again! 🏆🦅

But this win hit differently. It made me realize how much being an Eagles fan mirrors my own journey as a creator and entrepreneur. The struggles, the setbacks, the feeling of being an underdog—it’s all part of the process. And just like the Eagles had to build the right team to win, success in life and business is about assembling the right people around you.

Vanity publishing vs. Traditional publishing?

As an indie traditional publisher, we first have to redefine these terms so they align with the actual TRUTH.

Traditional publisher = money flows FROM the publisher to the author, NEVER from the author to the publisher. (Doesn't matter how small or big the publishing house is.)

Independent publisher = a publishing house that is 100% independent and NOT OWNED by a larger publishing house. Some of y'all supposed "indies" need to stop playing in our faces.

The true indies are in the trenches bootstrapping, working side jobs and hustles, creating community partnerships to keep the lights on. Not all of us have a "daddy Warbucks" or secret benefactor backing us.
