Our hearts go out the the family of TV-10 alumn and Illinois State University Broadcast Hall of Fame member Jerry Giesler, who passed away this week. Jerry's career spanned 40 years in central Illinois and well beyond, serving as a news director and general manager.

Jerry Lee Giesler, 72, of Monticello, passed away at 1132 a.m., Sunday, March 1, 2026, at his residence. Jerry was born on January 1, 1954, in Decatur, IL the son of James and Dorothy Jean Cain Giesler. Jerry is survived by his son Max Giesler of Ft. Wayne, IN grandson
