👉EARLY MORNING WAKINGS 👈
⏰What do you do when your baby/toddler is waking up at 5:30AM every morning ready to party?
1️⃣ Check sleep environment
-Make sure room is still dark at that time of morning. No light peeking through.
🌟Check sound machine. Sound machine should be on all night, at a shower sounding level.
2️⃣ Watch wake windows before bed.
-When going to bed overtired, we tend to wake up earlier and have trouble going back to sleep.
3️⃣ Watch total daytime sleep hours.
-When getting too much sleep during the day, we just aren’t able to sleep as long at night.
4️⃣ Keep in crib until 6:30AM or until 11-12 hours after bedtime to avoid reinforcing the early wake up.
🌟Turn to your sleep training method if needed.
🌟Anytime between 630-7:30AM is an appropriate wake up time.
🌟Any later than 730, naps will be pushed back, resulting in a later bedtime.
🌟Falling asleep at bedtime is easiest and most beneficial around 7-8PM due to our circadian rhythm!
