What shall we call it? We want to publish Janet Muirhead Hill's latest novel by September, but it doesn't have a title yet. Thanks to all those who've made suggestions. Maybe you can help me further by voting on some that I'm considering. First a brief synopsis: It's summer, 1985. A twelve-year-old girl (or is she thirteen or eleven? She doesn't know.) wakes up in a Kansas field with no knowledge of how she got there. Why doesn't she even remember her name? Does she have a family that might be looking for her? Not knowing is terrifying, but a farm family takes her in and gives her a home and a name. Her arrival, half naked, bruised, and battered, coincides with a tornado that hit the area and damaged their farm and the town. They think it was the storm that brought her. It's much later in the story that she knows for sure that it wasn't, thanks to a picture on a milk carton.

Here are some of the ideas I'm considering

On the Other Side of Now.
The Backside of Now.
The Misremembering of Alyssa Adams.
The Forgotten Life of Alyssa Adams.
Brought by the Wind
Before and After
The Girl without a Past
Milk-Carton Girl.

Besides considering these, if you think of others let me know.
