Join us in congratulating the September Winners of the "We Thank You" campaign, The Charleston County Sheriff's Office Human Resources Department, and Detention Deputy Marquell Melvin of the Juvenile Detention Center.
Deputy Melvin was nominated by his colleagues at the Juvenile Detention Center. They say Melvin can always be seen with a smile and that he brings a great attitude to the entire team. They added that he is motivated to learn new skills and grow in his law enforcement career.
The Sheriff's Office Human Resources Department has been busy updating the onboarding process for the agency, bringing it down from months to just a couple of weeks. They are also going paperless, have revamped job descriptions, and have streamlined the process for deputies in crisis to receive support.
