📍Shreveport,Louisiana —Eight children are dead after a mass shooting this Sunday morning in Shreveport. Police have identified the gunman as Shamar Elkins.

Shreveport authorities said 8 children and 2 adults were shot on this morning during this domestic disturbance.

The victims range in age from 1 to 14 years old.
Two adult women are currently being treated at a local hospital for serious injuries. A teenager also sustained injuries, which are considered non-life-threatening.

Shreveport Police Department says it responded to a shooting just before 6 a.m. and determined that this was a domestic call in nature.

The suspect first shot a woman on Harrison Street before traveling to the residence in the 300 block of West 79th Street, where the shooting continued.

After leaving the scene, the suspect carjacked a man at gunpoint near the intersection of Linwood Avenue and West 79th Street.

Police located the stolen car, and a chase ensued into Bossier Parish. At that time, three police officers discharged their fi****ms, shooting and killing Shamar Elkins.

📍HOUSTON,Texas —Houston authorities located the body of a missing woman 3 days ago near Chimney Rock Park in Houston, Texas, following a search that lasted several days.

Upon arrival, investigators confirmed the victim was deceased.
The victim was identified as 23-year-old Ashanti Allen, who was approximately eight months pregnant at the time of her death.
According to investigators, Allen had last been seen on April 11, 2026, leaving her residence near McNee Road and Main Street. Family members reported her missing after they were unable to contact her and became concerned following unusual communication.

Detectives later developed 24-year-old Kevin Faux as a suspect in the case. Authorities confirmed Faux is the father of Allen's unborn child.
Officials announced that Faux has been charged with murder in connection with Allen's death. He is not currently in custody.

📍Chicago,Illinois —A pregnant woman was killed in a tragic accident, leaving behind a family now facing unimaginable pain and heartbreak. On March 29, of last month Andriuna Guffie (left) lost her life after stopping to help someone on the side of the highway, a selfless act that ended in tragedy. She was struck by a driver who did not stop. According to authorities when they located 29-year-old Quintin King (right)he stated that he knew he hit something but did not believe it was a person, and made the decision not to stop. What he left behind was not just something in the road, but a pregnant woman who would never make it back home to her children.

29year old Quintin King was arrested hours later, with evidence from the crash still on his vehicle. A family is now left grieving the loss of a mother, a daughter, and an unborn child, She is survived by two daughters, ages 7 and 8 .Her family is also trying to process how something like this could happen.

The Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office confirmed that prosecutors filed a petition to detain King pending trial. However, the court denied that request.
King has been released pre-trial under conditions that include:
* No contact with witnesses or the victim’s family
* No driving without a valid license
Officials say he remains under court supervision as the case proceeds.
His next court appearance is scheduled for April 24th at 9:00 a.m. in Maywood.

This situation raises real questions that we cannot ignore. When someone takes a life behind the wheel and chooses to keep going after hitting something, should that carry stronger consequences? Should hit-and-run cases that result in loss of life be treated with the same level of seriousness as other forms of taking a life? These are conversations that matter, because accountability matters.

📍LAGRANGE, Georgia —LaGrange Police are still investigating a double shooting that left a 26-year-old woman and an 18-year-old man dead Monday on March 31 of last month in the afternoon at an apartment complex.

The shooting occurred around 5:35 p.m. at the Cameron Crossing Apartment Complex on Meadow Terrace.

When officers arrived, they found two victims: 26-year-old Jakhala moss in the parking lot and 18-year-old Jamarcus Kennedy inside Moss’s apartment, both unresponsive and suffering from gunshot wounds. Moss was a mother of a boy and a girl, while Kennedy was better known as "JJ."

Authorities said Kennedy ran into Moss’s apartment after the shooting, where he collapsed before officers arrived. Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators say two male suspects approached the apartment building on foot and began shooting at both victims before running from the area.

📍ATLANTA, Georgia —Qualeisha Barnes, a 36-year-old Detroit rapper known by the stage name So Siditty, was tragically found dead inside her $80K Range Rover in Atlanta early Wednesday morning on the 15th a few days ago.

The details of her death have left her family and fans in a state of disbelief, with the investigation revealing that she had been shot four times in the face while sitting in her car.

The shooting occurred at Springside Place SE, an area of Atlanta that, until that night, had never seen such a brutal attack. Her family described the murder as senseless, as Qualeisha was not just a rising star in the music scene, but also a mother-to-be.

When the police arrived at the scene around 1:30 a.m., they found Qualeisha lifeless in the driver's seat of her vehicle, with four gunshot wounds to her face. The chilling sight of a woman whose future was violently taken away has sent shockwaves throughout the community.

No arrests have been made, and the motive remains unclear. It's a case that has kept the city and fans of Qualeisha on edge ,hoping for justice.

Her life, though brief, touched many. The music industry, her fans, and her family are all left to pick up the pieces after such a devastating loss.

📍DANVILLE, Illinois - 32-year-old Dantrail Johnson was found guilty of the following charges related to the death of 2-year-old Cali Sago

In court on Friday Jan.30, closing arguments were heard from both the State and the defense. Michael Falagario, representing the State, started his closing argument by showing a picture of 2-year-old victim Cali Sago to the jury.

Falagario said Sago was playing tag throughout the day on Aug. 11, 2022 with her brothers and sisters and that her day ended being surrounded by first responders, unable to breathe. He went on to say this was the result of Johnson beating Sago because she was sucking her thumb, a “bad habit” that Falagario said caught Johnson’s attention.

Expert testimony from Dr. Channing Petrak and Dr. Amanda Youmans showed Sago suffered injuries consistent with severe brain trauma and child abuse.

This included:
•Subdural hematoma
* Four rib fractures
* Liver injury
* Ripped pancreas

Falagario said that Sago’s mom left for work at 1:30 p.m. on Aug. 11, 2022, which was seven hours before the 911 call for this incident. During her testimony, Sago’s sister called Johnson “stepdad,” and Falagario said he was the only adult in the vicinity at the time the injuries were sustained.

The State confirmed that Johnson will face 20-60 years in prison following this conviction. Sentencing for Johnson will take place on March 23.

📍LEE COUNTY/SHELLMAN, Georgia - Sherita Goddard, 41 is facing charges in connection with a wrong-way crash in Georgia that killed a mother and two of her children.

Sherita Goddard was driving under the influence and driving the wrong way on U.S. 82 in Lee County on Jan. 14.

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office said Goddard crashed into the family’s oncoming vehicle, killing 32-year-old Bernedine Spann, 13-year-old Ja’Leah Spann and 7-year-old Jaxton Spann.

Goddard’s daughter, who investigators said was in the vehicle with Goddard, was also injured in the crash.

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office said Goddard is charged with:
* Three counts of first-degree homicide by vehicle
* Endangering a child by driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
* Felony second-degree cruelty to children
* Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
* Driving on wrong side of a roadway
* Having an open container in the vehicle

Goddard was released on bond on Jan 28 .

Family and friends of the victims are hoping for full accountability.

Randolph County Schools confirmed Ja’Leah Spann was an eighth-grade student and Jaxton Spann was a second-grade student.

📍OKLAHOMA CITY , Oklahoma- Two men face murder charges following a late-night sledding accident in Oklahoma that killed a 31-year-old woman.

Makayla Mitchell was fatally struck Sunday, Jan. 25, after riding on a sled being towed by a vehicle when the rope snapped, bringing the sled and vehicle to a stop in the roadway around 11 p.m. Moments later, a second vehicle driven by James Kirk,
24, collided with Mitchell, killing her at the scene.

Police said both drivers showed signs of impairment.
Blood draw warrants were executed, and both men were arrested.
Angel Walzier, 22, who was driving the vehicle towing the sled, and Kirk were each charged with second-degree murder and aggravated DUI.
Jail records show Walzier is being held on $5 million bond. It was not immediately clear whether either man has entered a plea or retained an attorney.

Mitchell leaves behind a young daughter her family calls her “miracle baby.” Loved ones say they are determined that she will be remembered as a devoted mother.

📍𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐠𝐨, 𝐈𝐋 | November 17 2025 A Chicago mother and her kids were brutally jumped and left hospitalized.

Corshawnda Hatter took to social media in an emotional post, saying that while walking with her son and daughter, a group of kids started jumping them, which was all captured on camera.

The mother, who has been battling sickle cell anemia and is gravely ill, says her son had been recently getting bullied at Orville T. Bright School and believes this is what caused this to happen.

She had reached out to school staff, who did nothing about her son being bullied.

Corshawnda says her son was beaten and slammed to the ground, her daughter had her hair pulled, and she was brutally beaten and had her hair snatched out of her head, which put them in the hospital.

This morning, a group of protesters stood outside the school alongside Corshawnda, asking for answers and demanding justice.

We think the kids that are involved need to be charged & held accountable .

📍 MILWAUKEE , WI -31 year old A’nya Raymond was shot and killed on Nov 5 2025 . Kevin Griffin, has been arrested and charged in her death and the related homicide of another individual, Terrance Wilder.

He is expected to return for a preliminary hearing on November 26. It is currently unknown if Griffin has secured legal counsel.

A criminal complaint filed on November 15 indicates that Griffin admitted to shooting a man (Terrance) whom he was trying to evict from a property on the 4000 block of North 12th Street on November 4. The victim has been identified by family members as Terrance Wilder, who was 39 years old.

Griffin told investigators that he also shot and killed A’nya Raymond, aged 31, and later disposed of her remains in an alley. Prosecutors are concerned that Raymond's child may have witnessed the murder of his mother and was left to roam the streets unattended. Authorities eventually found the boy alone, wearing clothes stained with blood.
