It’s been awhile since I shared anything that I’ve worked on. So here is a short film that I’ve produced and starred in with my friend Sean Seanito Kelly. This is his first writing, directing and acting debut and I’m blessed to be apart of his passion project. We filmed this short film mid-pandemic and adhered to all COVID guidelines.

This film couldn’t be done without the help of our stellar cast and crew.

In honor of 420, I’m finally releasing my short film that I’ve wrote, produced and directed from 2019.

“Slow Burn” is a short film about a young Christian woman named Naomi who experiences PTSD after having a miscarriage. After a recommendation for medical cannabis from her doctor, Naomi is against using it and her husband Dan convinces her to just try it.

To this date, this was by far the most challenging and controversial film that I made and I couldn’t have done it without my incredible cast and crew.

Just got off a ZOOM meeting for a virtual table read for my new episodic pilot “Locations Go To 2”, a comedy series about a group of Location PAs who go on random errand runs that don’t go as planned. A sincere “Thank You” to everyone who showed up to participate and having my work read out loud. Can’t wait to start rewriting the script and (hopefully) film it!

04/05/2023

****CASTING CALL FOR VIRTUAL TABLE READ FOR 4/8 at 8pm****

*Please keep in mind that this is only for the table read and not the actual pilot. Only looking for actors who are looking to volunteer their time to read the script, provide feedback and network with other fellow Chicago actors*

Title: “Locations, Go To 2”

Genre: Comedy

Logline: A group of Location Production Assistants go on various errand runs that don’t go as planned.

Main Roles

-Derek (25-30), white male, he is an experienced but neurotic Production Assistant. He can go off at the slightest inconvenience at any time. Think George Costanza from “Seinfeld”.

-Jorge (30-40), hispanic male, an experienced Production Assistant who’s been in the Film/TV scene for a while. He can be annoyed and impatient at times.

-Becca (20-29), white female, she is a super nice but stressful Production Assistant. Just like with Derek, she can go off at any given situation.

-Brian (20-29), white male, He is an experienced PA with a serious attitude. Because of his Heavy Wrestler body physique, nothing gets in his way.

-Connor (20-29), white male, a green and inexperienced PA.

-Lisa (20s), AA Female, she is the production’s Office PA who has a bit of communication issues.

-Oscar, (50-60), any ethnicity, The Assistant Location manager. He is the boss of the PAs. Really Matter-Of-Factly.

-Maria, (45-60), any ethnicity, the big head of the Locations Department. She’s the type of person who always gets her way and rarely fesses up when she makes a mistake.

Minor Roles

-Pedestrian, male, any age and ethnicity. They’re annoyed that they’re stopped because of filming.

-Passerby, male, any age and ethnicity, A random pedestrian who is actually enthused about a film shoot taking place.

-First Assistant Director, any gender/age/ethnicity.

-Security Guard, (30s) Hispanic male. Calls the police on Derek. Speaks fluent Spanish.

-Boss (voice), (50-60) Hispanic male. Speaks fluent Spanish.

-Driver, male any gender and ethnicity, noisy person asking what they’re filming.

-Policeman # 1- Male, any gender/age/ethnicity.

-Policeman # 2- Male, any gender/age/ethnicity.

-Police Officer- Male, any gender/age/ethnicity.

If interested, please send me headshots and resumes to [email protected] with the character you’re interested in reading for.

Thank you!

Just throwing it out there.

A few years ago I had come up with an idea for a documentary about dreams and been thinking about filming some interviews potentially this spring/summer. If anyone has an interesting dream that they’ve had, please DM me your story to be considered. I’m only selecting people whose dreams I find interesting that’s worth telling.

Also if anyone knows anything about “lucid dreaming” and has done it in their sleep, I’m interested to hear more about it for the doc.

Thanks!
