Need Help Valuing
Looking to sell my tractor and was wondering if anyone here has any idea how to value. I was looking to sell my fully functional Yanmarr 330D 4X4 with the bush hog, plow and auger included for $10k. Is that reasonable

My 3 year old wanted a tractor.
My 3 year son wanted a tractor. He already had an electric john deere but he didnt like it. He said dad i want a real tractor so we sold his electric toy and bought this. Sadly the engine is so worn out on this it barely wants to stay running ( extremely low compression). I'll be doing an engine swap for him at some point sense I cant find any parts for the engine.

ISO info about steering system.
FIL has this JD 750 with the hyd front loader attachment. Uses it for plowing snow mostly on their property. Yes I know the bucket is way oversized, yes I know it's hard on the machine. But he uses it for snow, and that's about it. It is not a heavy use every weekend machine. But the steering just locked up the right, but still allows left steer. If you pick the front axle up, and manually push the wheels, it will steer left. All the rod ends are healthy, and linkage is not contacting anywhere. I don't know if the long linkage from the gearbox to the knuckle is supposed to have that bend in it or not, and this is manual steering to I don't believe a guy would have enough strength to reef the wheel hard enough to bend that rod. I am not familiar with these as far as, is this a rack and pinion style internally, or worm drive, or beveled gear set? Curious if anyone has a breakdown per chance on this guy. I will be tearing it apart over the next couple weeks to repair, but figured it out a feeler out for info in the meantime. Any help is appreciated! Thanks guys/gals.

Hi, I'm mechanically inclined but new to tractors. I'd love to get this Ford 2000 running for mowing grass and maybe evening out the driveway.

What I know- The former owner said it was a 6v positive ground system, but you have to jump w/ a 12v. (?!) It's a gas 4 cylinder. I swapped spark plugs, cleaned the only small fuel filter I could find, fresh gas, air filter is an oil bath type (didn't touch it).

With only 6v it turns over Very slow. Using a 12v w/ a bit of starting fluid it actually started and ran enough for me to drive it a bit over 1 day. Holy Cow! Restarted same day 3-4 times w/ the 12v.
The next week, it turned over fine w/ the 12v but never fired up. Thought I probably flooded it, didn't have much time, so I quit.
Same week but later, I tried 2 different fully charged 12v batts and they both barely got the motor to turn over. I pulled 1 spark plug, looks dry, same thing- dead slow. One batt was on a running truck, so low V is not the issue. Air filter tube was disconnected so carb had open air access.

Also, the starter button used to at least Try to turn the engine over, but now not at all. Former owner said it was intermittent. I think it's actually the starter solenoid but that doesn't matter as I've been jumping direct to starter lug and a ground bolt.

SO, what is adding a huge load to the engine turning over, OR is the starter motor on its last leg from using 12v?

I could be missing something, like I checked to be sure the implement raise/lower arm was pushed down in case that was an added load (?) Is there a hydraulic bleed off or something that needs to happen? Secondly, this thing is goofy! The shifter on the side I assume is a high/low lever but it also reverses Some of the gears? Is that normal? The centralized shifter is labeled 1-4 but one is them is reverse. None of the manuals I've found online even show a 4 cyl gas version so no help there.

Take your best shot friends, and thanks in advance!

Six Loop Rim Carriage Bolts
Hi all! Just bought a 1956ish Ferguson 40 from a friend. The original power adjust rims were rotted around the valve stems from ballast, so I bought new six loop rims, centers, tubes, and carriage bolt set. We swapped the tires over ourselves.

I have a question about the carriage bolts that attach the center to the rim. They barely had any threads to grab onto to tighten them. I tapped them with my hammer and was able to get the nuts on. We tightened to 100 ft/lbs, but the square part of the carriage bolt didn't sink into the loops. I didn't want to beat the p**s out of them with my dead blow hammer.

Question is: Should I tighten to a higher torque spec, suck them in with an impact, or do something else?

There is currently not enough nut/thread engagement to make me feel comfortable. I've been considering getting some hex head bolts. Maybe stainless.

I could use some help. I'm new to tractors. Thanks!

They called it the ‘High-Boy’… the tractor that walked above the fields like it had secrets to keep.
Back in the day, this rusty giant rolled over rows of peppers and tomatoes, carrying the hopes of a whole harvest on its long, spindly legs.
Farmers trusted it the way you trust an old friend—loud, stubborn, but always showing up when the sun came up.
Now it stands here quietly, watching over an empty field, like it’s remembering every season it survived.
Funny how even machines can feel like they’ve lived a lifetime.

Oops. Best way to get her out w/o damaging shed?
The heavy snow deceived me and I slid down the embankment-kinda pinned against the shed. Was thinking to put a come along on the bucket to my truck and pulling at a 45° until freed up enough to drive forward. I also have a logging winch on the gack. Thoughts?
