Wrong place to celebrate…

Our Corrections Officers had some fun filming this reel! Yes, the bloopers are real, but the message behind it matters.

New Year’s Eve should be about memories, laughter, and starting the year on the right path… not spending the night in a jail cell.

As you head out to celebrate, plan ahead, use a designated driver or rideshare, and look out for your friends.

Make good choices, avoid risky decisions, and don’t start the year in jail. We’d much rather see you enjoying the countdown than visiting us tonight.

Start 2026 safely. Celebrate responsibly, North Las Vegas.

Today we’re taking a moment to recognize our SWAT Team, a group of highly trained officers who stand ready to respond when critical situations arise.

SWAT officers train year-round, preparing for high-risk incidents, supporting patrol and investigative units, and working to bring dangerous situations to the safest possible resolution.

Their work often happens behind the scenes, but their professionalism, discipline, and teamwork play a vital role in protecting our community.

To our SWAT Team, thank you for your dedication, your readiness, and your unwavering commitment to service.

We are proud of you.

Officer A. Dolan couldn’t help but fall in love with this sweet pup during a call offering a few hugs, reassurance, and a little extra care along the way.

Moments like this remind us that service isn’t only about responding to incidents, it’s also about compassion, empathy, and treating every member of our community (four-legged friends included) with kindness.

Great work, Officer Dolan.

Officer Dellorco took a moment to assist an elderly woman by helping her carry a large mirror safely to her vehicle.

What may seem like a small gesture can make a meaningful difference, especially for members of our community who may need an extra hand.

Acts of service like this remind us that policing is about more than responding to calls.

It’s about compassion, connection, and looking out for one another even in the little moments.

Thank you, Officer Dellorco, for leading with kindness and representing the values of our department. šŸ’™

While You Were Sleeping… on Christmas šŸŽ„

While many families were home celebrating Christmas, our officers were out on patrol and stopped a driver who was distracted behind the wheel.

Distracted driving isn’t just looking at a phone. It can be:
• texting or scrolling
• looking down at GPS
• eating, reaching, or adjusting controls
• taking your eyes or mind off the road

Even a split second of distraction can lead to a crash, injury, or worse.
Please remember:
Eyes up. Hands on the wheel. Mind on the road.

Your safety and the safety of others depends on it.

Thank you to our officers working through the holiday to keep our community safe. šŸ’™

Don’t let the Grinch steal your holiday season.

Officer Alejandrino helped put the Grinch into custody, but the real message is about holiday safety.

This time of year brings more traffic, more shopping, and unfortunately more opportunities for crime.

Help keep your season merry and bright:
šŸŽ Secure gifts in your vehicle and at home
šŸš— Slow down and drive sober
šŸ”’ Lock doors and vehicles
šŸ‘€ Stay aware of your surroundings

Our officers are out in the community working to keep everyone safe, so you can focus on what matters most, time with family, friends, and loved ones.

Stay safe. Stay alert. Happy Holidays.
