I apologize for not being able to prepare another batch of sourdough cheddar crackers today due to high pre-orders, after successfully completing one batch last night.

Behold the English Muffins. I'm somewhat apprehensive about opening this. 😆 60 Muffins are being sent out today!! All must undergo weighing, hand rolling, a 2-hour second rise, and cooking 15 at a time, flipping one by one. I need to explore a more efficient method. To be continued…. 🫶🏼😂

These cute candy corn lights from my first non-friend-or-family customer represent a milestone. The fact that strangers have become friends and consistent supporters is a testament to the impact of kindness and connection. I appreciate your loyalty. Every single one of you.

Thank you. 🫶🏼

🧀 Cracker Chronicles 😅
I’ve now thrown away two batches of crackers after one successful run… time to restock on cheese and try again tomorrow!

If you need to reach me tomorrow (Wednesday), please text me — bake days get a little wild and I don’t check my phone much. Also, I never check Messenger unless it’s my personal account… and even then, it’s hit or miss 😂🫶🏼

🌾 Porch Basket to a Roadside Stand 🧺✨

I want to take a minute to share a little piece of how it all started.

In early April of 2025, I offered my very first pre-orders… from a white basket on my front porch. No storefront. No Hotplate. Just handwritten labels, a few friends supporting me, and a whole lot of heart. I’d been baking sourdough since the winter of 2023 — quietly experimenting, learning, and perfecting before I ever thought of selling it.

That first pickup basket? It was from the dollar store, and I stuck a 4x6 thermal label on the front — hand-written, of course, because I didn’t even know how to use the printer yet (it was my son’s shipping printer 😅). Inside were maybe two or three loaves of bread. That was it. That’s where The Bread Box began.

The idea for a little roadside cart was already in motion. I even had a mental launch date set for Easter weekend. Most of it was made from repurposed materials — we only had to buy the cart, and later added some Edison bulb lights. I had a vision of Sweet Treat Date Nights before I had ever even baked a cookie! 😆 The dream just kept evolving.

Fast forward to October 2025, and I’ve completely revamped my roadside stand into the cozy little cottage setup you see now. And truthfully? I’m still dreaming and tweaking — next up: covering the walls so I can hang more signs and make it feel even more welcoming.

✨ I think this next chapter is about extreme joy, purpose, and that invisible thread that connects us all.

All this to say… I started with a dollar store basket and a dream. Thank you for growing with me. 💛

💁‍♀️ The Bread Box on Stanton Road 💛

When I dreamed up this little cottage stand, I wanted it to be more than a place to grab bread — I wanted it to feel like a little pause in time. Cozy, genuine, unique, and full of heart.

Since then, I’ve watched The Bread Box grow into something special — and it’s been amazing to see the ripple effect around town. I guess you could say cottagecore is catching on. 😏

But no matter how many stands or sheds pop up, there’s only one Bread Box — the one that started it all, made from organic ingredients and built on love, community, and a whole lot of sourdough starter. 💫

So here’s to staying original, staying kind, and staying real.
Never miss a crumb 🍞✨
