It’s been exactly one month since my friend, Ben Vore got married to the love of his life, Myah. They took a chance when they asked me to photograph their wedding. It was my first time and I’d be peddling falsehoods if I said I wasn’t nervous.

But something changed.

As my finger hit the shutter button, it all washed away. The anxiety that’d be gnawing at me. The doubt that I’m not good enough. The imposter syndrome.

I had remembered why I was there. Yes, I was taking photos - but I was also capturing a feeling. That venue radiated love, excitement, and a bittersweetness that flowed into the photos. Capturing this once in a lifetime event could not have been more worth it.

I’m so excited to see the life Ben and Myah build together!

I nearly lost $4,000 in 5 minutes and here's why it's a blessing.

Recently I filmed the Thrive 85 Event put on by Wabash County United Fund.

Filming for the event had me going from 1 building to another - outside.

The forecast didn't call for rain, but that didn't stop it.

So I was screwed. Either I ruin my camera getting the footage, or I don't get it at all.

Luckily, I was able to borrow an umbrella.

But it taught me a valuable lesson. I need to always be prepared for anything or I may just risk losing the shot.

Learning to ride a bike takes more than balance. It's learning hand signals, helmet safety, and road awareness. The Wabash County Indiana Health Department held a Bike Safety Rodeo on May 1 to teach these valuable skills.
