In the Northeast of Haiti, not far from Caracol, lies Jakzi, a small coastal community deeply connected to the sea.

We spent a day with a local fisherman, experiencing his way of life, learning his fishing techniques, and exploring the waters and coastline he calls home.

Along the way, we discovered the mangroves, marine life, and natural richness of the area, while seeing the potential this coastline holds for beautiful beaches, and opportunities for the local community.

This was more than a day of fishing. It was a journey into a hidden side of Haiti. 🇭🇹
