1,950 Volunteers | 630,000 Meals | 1,731 Children Fed for One Year
Every year, millions of children die from preventable causes such as pneumonia, diarrhea, malaria and undernutrition. According to UNICEF’s Child Mortality Report, hunger still causes nearly half of deaths in children under 5 years old. From this data, Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) estimates at least 6,200 die each day from undernutrition. This is a heartbreaking number.
At Incarnation Lutheran Church in Shoreview from April 26 – 30, 2023, we’re giving the community a chance to instill compassion and improve the lives of malnourished children around the world. Through a Feed My Starving Children MobilePackTM, we will produce approximately 630,000 meals for children around the world. FMSC is a Christian non-profit organization committed to feeding God’s children hungry in body and spirit. The approach is simple: children and adults hand-pack meals specifically formulated for malnourished children, and meals are shipped to distribution partners in more than 70 countries around the world.
Over the years, Incarnation has hosted 15 MobilePacks, packed over 8.1 million meals, fed 23,740 kids for one year and raised over $1.66 Million!
