Merry Christmas and a happy new year! Life has been hectic the last month and with little time to update the page. The Alaska big game draw tags are closed, lucky winners will be announced in February( Darcy and I both are hoping to draw again).
Trapping season has been very slow, crazy weather this year( freezing rain and bad winds) also not much sign to speak of. Current fur count is 2 mink. With one last week off in 2013 I've been thinking about hitting the lakes for some ice fishing. It's a change of pace with all this darkness. I hope you all have had a prosperous year and making plans for next.

Happy November!!! I hope everyone had a safe and fun Halloween yesterday. The state draw applications are open to put in for today, it's also the start of trapping season-outdoor adventures that own dogs please be aware that trappers have sets out. Tuesday is the A.T.A monthly meeting over at Compeaus with a lot of great info on what happening around the state and a guest speaker on trail maintenance.

What a beautiful day. Couldn't stand hanging out around the house. Cut a little firewood and harvested a couple spruce chickens. This warm weather is great but it will be postponing the start of trapping for me and a few others. I hope everyone had a great fall, winter is coming.

Took a trip down to the Clearwater river in Delta. Fishing was amazing 24/30 on silvers, found 4 fish hooks and a bonus spruce grouse for tonight. Trying to enjoy the remaining days of fall, not many left.

End of another moose hunting season, very odd season this year. We looked over a lot of country for a decent bull, we saw lots of cows but not big bulls. With time running down I choose to fill my tag with a small bull. He will be split between the family. Hope others had better luck. Next on deck is white fish spearing and a wild game feed next month.

Two days left for the 2013 moose season in the unit we are in. Just off the phone with my dad, have not seen anything out there worth trying for. Loading up now to try my binoculars out. Good luck to all those trying to harvest an animal before the end of season.
