Deputy Chief Morales began his public safety career right here in North Port as a Police Explorer before joining the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office. Since becoming an NPPD officer in 2000, he has served across nearly every division — from Road Patrol and Criminal Investigations to leadership roles overseeing the Department’s Real Time Intelligence Center, Computer Forensic Lab, Narcotics Unit, Special Response Team, and Traffic Unit.
