When dinosaurs roamed the land, giant reptiles like mosasaurs and plesiosaurs ruled the seas. These fierce sea monsters were some of the largest predators to ever live. They’re now long gone from our oceans, but fossils and rocks hold clues to how they lived.

Our traveling exhibition "Sea Monsters Unearthed" explores this prehistoric period and showcases never-before-seen fossils from excavations sites in Angola that fill in a missing chapter in Earth's history. See the exhibition starting January 31 at The Louisiana State Exhibit Museum.
