This podcast about Slatersville: America's First Mill Village was a blast to be on, and I’m grateful for the invitation. It’s no secret that I am not on the same side of the political spectrum as these guys, but it’s also no secret that this series has served as the rare example nowadays of a project where people from both sides can gather, focus on, discuss and dissect all that it covers. I know!! Who woulda thought that was possible?? Well, it actually has been for many years. I wish more filmed interviews about the series could go as deep or have a duration like this one. Next month at Museum of Work and Culture, the first stage play adaptation of a part of Slatersville: America's First Mill Village’s epic story will be put on by RISE, Rhode Island Stage Ensemble. A SLATER’S TALE was written by Guy Benoit, adapted from “Episode 5: The World According to Uncle Johnny.” I am looking most forward to seeing what they create!! Last night I had a lot of fun talking with the guys of the Cumberland Unfiltered podcast. Back in July when the ProJo story came out, their Associate Producer Gary, who I have been told to address as Gregg (???) read it and invited me on the show. We talked for over two hours. One thing that was great was that Gary/Gregg had seen all 8 episodes of Slatersville: America's First Mill Village twice and the guys had seen much of the series. This meant the questions were real and substantive, and the conversation was authentic. We really dove in, and I appreciated every second of it. So big thanks to Caleb Minson, Brad Dean, Jason Dean and the AP guy for having me on.  It was one of the best recorded talks I have ever had about the series.
