A quick burst of snow is possible Saturday afternoon/evening across portions of the region before warmer air changes it over to all rain. Some minor accumulations will be possible over southern Indiana. Another chance of wintry weather is expected to arrive Monday night and into Tuesday. This system could bring significant and impactful accumulations to the area.

Portions of southeast Indiana are expected to receive snowfall later today into tomorrow morning. Here’s what our INDOT Southeast crews have completed and have planned to tackle the predicted winter weather:

✅ DONE: Crews completed pretreating operations on all INDOT-maintained routes yesterday.

🔜 NEXT: Crews will begin patrolling across the district this afternoon and will begin plowing the roadways as winter weather moves in. And yes, they will be out until accumulation stops and clean-up operations are complete (they deserve all of our thanks 🙌).

Jennings County Residents:

The roads are treacherous right now...please do not be out driving unless you absolutely have to.

For any slide offs or accidents we are currently working we are not towing any vehicles if they are completely off of the roadway and not a current road hazard, THESE VEHICLES WILL BE MARKED WITH YELLOW CAUTION TAPE. If you see a vehicle slid off with no one around and no caution tape, you can contact our non emergency number at 812-346-4911 and inform our dispatch of its location and we will check on it if we have not already!
