I would like to celebrate my birthday by supporting important projects that are close to my heart—magnificent books that uplift marginalized voices and exquisite books that preserve our cultural heritage under threat of erasure. Publishing is becoming increasingly challenging and the past two years have been the most difficult. We have seen our authors’ voices suppressed and censored, our events cancelled, and many of our books banned. In response to this and to ensure the continuity of our mission, we have decided to launch the Interlink Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit.
