Memorial Field is likely getting a new scoreboard with the ability to display live, high-definition video. The new board, along with a number of other facility upgrades, will become a source of ad revenue for the district — some have already been sponsored by local businesses.

A pandemic-era program that was bolstered during the last administration provided Riverwalk Market Fair with funds to purchase leftover produce from its vendors to help stock Rice County food shelves. Although the current administration cut the program's funding, the community are determined to keep it going.
