Robert from Songwriters' Studio Services here. This Yamaha acoustic took a very unfortunate spill off of a guitar stand and broke its neck. The resulting tension from the strings pulled the whole split neck off and the fingerboard. Amazingly the fingerboard is hardly damaged and the plan at this point as you can see is to piece it back together bit by bit and fill in cracks as well as can be done. Hoping for the best here. Ultimately there will be sanding done to smooth out the repair and if the client wants a refinish it will go over to the amazing Pat Wilkins

Resolved electronics issues on a client's 1966 ES-335 in the shop today. These are always a bear to work on but so satisfying when you track down the issues successfully and get it all back together.

Re-mastering the first album I did several years ago with my friend Justin Honsinger. This thing is vibrant and ALIVE. Covid gave me a year to sit and hone some skills in the studio and I'm excited as all get-out. Justin's album is phenomenal and still stands up today. Word has it another is on the way. I feel this album has some of my best work on it and all of the performances across the board are excellent. Contact Justin to arrange for a copy pending a new release.

Well gang, the client has now unfriended me and blocked me. DO NOT HAVE ANY DEALINGS WITH KENT BEERY. He comes across as a nice guy and I did some tracks for him and in good faith sent him an mp3 mix. He has decided not to pay for the session. Background check reveals a history of fraud. It's a shame that people like this force you to lose trust in the business world and have to change your policies. Very disappointed in that.

I just recorded and mixed the introduction and reprise to Ggreg Snyder's musical Gehenna using 8 tracks of overdubbed Les Pauls and 2 tracks of fuzzed Wilkins basses. Absolutely Epic and a ton of fun.

Doing some studio upgrades this week. Bass traps in the control room, additional soundproofing and weather stripping. Need to control the low end in the studio better for mixing. Should improve things for sure.
