Christmas Auditions!!!
JPR Studios is filming four Christmas movies this year. Two in January and two more in February. These are not Generation Courage movies, they are clean movies being done by our director, Joel Paul Reisig. Please reply to him, on his personal FB page.
-Christmas at the Roanoke Ranch
-Doc Holly's Christmas
-Evening Strolls in Christmas Town
-Snowed Inn
Two films are taking place in Holly, one in Lowell (Grand Rapids area), and one in Frankenmuth.
I am open to all races for the first three films. Snowed Inn revolves around a black family so I am looking primarily for black supporting actors for that film.
Do not ask me for sides, I'm not sending them out. What I want is to see 1 - 2 minutes (3 tops) of footage on you. Ideally a demo reel. If you don't have one, a scene or two from films you were in. If you don't have that, pick any scene you like and record it with a friend. Send your footage to me here, right on FB messenger.
In addition to your footage, please let me know 1) which of the mentioned cities you can work as a local in, meaning no hotel needed. 2) any dates in January or February that you can not be on set. 3) Your age range and type of character you feel you're right for.
If you have acted in my films before, no need for footage. Simply tell me that you're interested and available.
The eight leads, 4 male and 4 female, have been cast for these four films. However, I'm always looking for potential future leads. If you're not sure of the "type" that gets cast in as leads, both watch a few Hallmark movies, and also take a look at the leads I have cast - Joe Kurak, Brian Boynton, Donnell Clayton, James Dickey, Kristen Hammer, Sophie Bolen, Ciera Angelia, Danielle Sarentino.
-Ask yourself honestly if you're this age and this general look.
-I'm very open to casting an Asian lead, male or female, if I could find that person in MI.
In addition to auditions I'm also looking for:
-Extras, unpaid. Simply send me a message saying you'd like to be an extra.
-TV Studio. Needed for one day. If you own, manage, or have a strong connection with a local TV studio please let me know!
-Classic restaurant. I need a restaurant that can pass for the interior of The Holly Hotel
-General locations - I'm always interested in hearing from someone with an open concept home who would like us to film there, owners of mansions, restaurants/bars, old train, ranch, yacht, lighthouse... Surprise me. (Please, only if you are the owner or manager and able to give permission to film there.)
I do give priority casting to people I've worked with before, people who have helped with locations, showed up at premieres, and just supported me in general. However I am open to expanding my circle. I look forward to your message.
