While working on some of our recent Colorado footage, we couldn’t help but put out a little sample with some of our settings and gear. Much more to come!

Note on the 3rd shot with the running horses: the horses were already running prior to launching our drone to capture it and we were filming at 3x, so we did not intimidate them in any way!

If you think the soundtrack is a weird pairing, it’s not 😂😂- it’s what we were jamming to while filming some of these shots so we thought it fitting.

If you’re anything like us, it can be easy to get caught up in gear obsession- constantly re-thinking your camera selection, lighting, lenses, etc.

A big perspective shift that has helped us (and caused our subsequent transition to the RED camera and DZO lens ecosystem) is to ask this question: which tools elicit the most inspiration?

For us, from the first time we sampled the RED Komodo and KX- especially paired with the DZO Vespid primes- we felt inspired to create.

To us, that is more important than any other gear attribute.

While we were in AZ for a recent shoot, we couldn’t help but document a little drive into the desert with our Nikon ZR, Mavic 3 Pro Cine, and rental 4 Runner 😂.

While framing, composition, blocking, and lighting are ultra important (and foundational), what you’re attempting to communicate will NOT translate without an effective color grade.

Achieving (and even designing) the aesthetic, vibe, and style that is cohesive with your brand and image is a challenge we love taking on.

This is just an example of a fairly simple grade we did recently for a med spa client.
