📣‼️ ATTN: Kids and Parents:
Drivers continue to express concern about Kids on scooters‼️📣

Its all hands on deck and reminders are important. Reminders that stop signs 🛑 also apply to scooters and for everyone to watch closely for traffic.
The kids were told a driver looks both ways before turning and the scooters are so fast they show up without warning after the road was first clear.
❗️Reminder to cross the road at crossways and not to zoom across the middle.
❗️To look and then look again.

Please remind your kiddos of our safety rules we discussed before school got out during Bike Safety we also talked about safety with their super cool scooters 🛴

There have been some close calls that are 💯 avoidable. Scary on all accounts.

Reminders from parents goes a long ways. If you see something, say something.

Let’s have a safe summer! ☀️
Please share and have conversations. 🛴

Here is a release from Senator Grassley's office. Sharing here, as the next issues of the Anchor and Signal will not arrive in mailboxes until after the meeting.

-----------------------

U.S. Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) will hold a town meeting on Wednesday, April 23, in Worth County as part of his annual 99 county meetings.

“You can’t have representative government without dialogue between elected officials and the people we represent,” Grassley said. “I appreciate the opportunity to hold town meetings, answer questions and take comments. My annual 99 county meetings are one way I regularly keep in touch with Iowans to better represent them at the policymaking tables in Washington.”

This is Grassley’s 45th year of holding question and answer sessions in each of Iowa’s 99 counties. Grassley has held at least one meeting in every county, every year since he was first elected to serve in the U.S. Senate. He answers questions on any subject. Iowans set the agenda.

The town meeting is open to the public and media. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis until the room is at capacity.
