Kickstarter has named Cary Wolinsky, Visual Memories as a “Project We Love”!
It's so wonderful to hear all the excitement from our supporters to see Cary’s work collected in a photobook. We’re doing well so far but we still need your support.

Please pledge to the project. (If we don’t reach our goal on Kickstarter, we won’t receive any funds and cannot produce the book!)
Please share this email with your friends and on social media.
Please help us bring Cary's photographic world to life.

We are excited to announce Cary Wolinsky, Visual Memories, the first retrospective of Cary Wolinsky’s photographs from his career. From the USA to England, France, Russia, India, Namibia, Peru, Papua New Guinea, Australia, China, and Japan, Cary captured both the visual images of the world, but also the spark of story — culture, history, science, politics, humor — all the aspects that bring our world to life.
We are raising funds on Kickstarter, where you can help support the project by purchasing the book, postcards, posters, and prints of Cary’s.
Please contribute if you can and please share the campaign with your friends. Help us bring Cary’s photographic world to life!

Cary Wolinsky spent 35 years photographing the world for National Geographic. Our book is a collection of his iconic images and stories

We were also deeply saddened to hear about the recent passing of Travis Amick, the young man at the center of our Helping Hands: Monkey Helpers film, “Great Beginnings”. Travis and his sister Stacey were incredibly excited to share their lives with Siggy the monkey. Travis was always a source of boundless positivity and energy.
We send our deepest condolences to Stacey and all of Travis’ family.

When you encounter a relationship like the one between Travis and Siggy the monkey, you are reminded just how strong a friendship can be. Travis is one of those…

As part of “And then a monkey” in 2009, Helping Hands: Monkey Helpers allowed us to be present to film a “placement” - the first amazing moment when a service monkey meets their new human partner. For us, this was Kent and Nancy Converse and the monkey, Farah.
These were exciting, amazing, and emotional days of filming. The companionship between Kent and Farah was immediate. We were extremely fortunate and grateful to capture this moment and to know that they have been together since.
We learned that Farah passed away last week just a short time before her 40th birthday. We send our deepest condolences and love to Nancy and Kent.

Filmmakers Cary and Yari Wolinsky travel throughout the country to document the work of Helping Hands: Monkey Helpers for the Disabled. From Massachusetts to California,…

Rian Brown and Geoff Pingree's film about Toni Morrison, "The Foreigner's Home", will screen at the National Gallery of Art in Washington DC this Sunday, January 19th, at 4pm. Trillium's Yari Wolinsky had the opportunity to work with the filmmakers on editing the project.

Their film will be screened with the short, "Over", by Jörn Threlfall.

In the short Over, a quiet London neighborhood is the site of what is presumably a crime scene.

Rivaling the greatest wooden architecture in history, the synagogues of 18th-century Poland inspired artists Rick and Laura Brown to embark on a 10-year pursuit-to reconstruct the roof and painted ceiling of Gwoździec synagogue. Along with students and professionals, they grapple with the echoes of...

Sweethaven Gallery and the North Shore Photography Lecture Series have invited Cary Wolinsky to talk about his 35 years of photographic work for National Geographic magazine and other projects. Please join us at the Firehouse in Newburyport for an evening of pictures and their stories!

Those amazing National Geographic magazine stories…where do the ideas come from? What really goes on in the field? How does a story work its way through the National Geographic article-making apparatus toward ink on paper?
