What is our final goal on the LAST DAY of our Kickstarter campaign? Quite simply it is to get 300 backers. Currently we have 221. Selling our very own card game on Kickstarter has been an incredibly hard but rewarding journey. If you are curious about the details, I am happy to share all about the experience.
Bottom line, it has been a passion project, and it has been one of the biggest risks I have ever personally taken in my life. We praise God for helping us get this far because we couldn't have done it without him guiding us every step of the way. I can't say how many times I was about to make a dumb decision but God used someone to redirect me in a better direction. Sometimes I still made dumb decisions, lol.
It was heartbreaking to have to delay our launch so many times after people told us our campaign was likely to fail. Waiting was hard, but waiting was one of the best decisions we made. The timing of it all has been impeccable. However, I won't deny the butterflies in my stomach throughout the whole process.
What I am most looking forward to when our campaign ends is laying down promoting our game for a while and working hard to actually get this game to our backers. I want to STOP telling you about it and let you EXPERIENCE it!
Why do we still need your support? Every backer we get helps us do the following:
1. Continually improve Escape Master (we are well on our way with this one)
2. Take steps closer to getting out of the red
3. Have enough funds to begin work on our next project
In the past I would look at $12,000 raised and be like, "Wow, that's a lot of money!" and it IS, but after working behind the scenes, we are still very much in a place of having to trust God to provide for our next steps. Regardless of our uncertainty for the future, this is our start, and we couldn't be more grateful! The adventure continues, and funding our Kickstarter is a monumental step. We are so thankful to everyone who has helped give us our start. We do not take the start you have given us for granted and we will do our best to steward it well!
