These two came in yesterday. A lady's dog found the nest and had them. Their little eyes are not open yet.

Big thank you goes to Kayla for the nursing kit. Stress relief and also she dropped off a kennel. It can be used for future fawns or I might wrap it in wire and turn it into another possum enclosure..

Sadly lost two babies. One death could have been prevented had the baby had proper care. Improper feedings can be fatal for babies. Waiting till the baby is basically knocking on deaths door before handing the baby over to a rehabber makes it harder for a rehabber to save the baby. I can try everything I know of but it was out of my control.
Please don't feed the animals or hold on to them for days, weeks before handing them over to a rehabber. I know people want to keep wildlife as pets. I know people want to help them. Raising wildlife up to be released is completely different than raising domestic animals.

The second baby squirrel that passed was one that had alot of bruising from being in the nest of a tree that fell.

This lady came in today too. Finder had her since Thursday, her sibling did not make it. Please if you find wildlife and don't know how to tend to it properly please send it to a rehabber. First off in NC it's illegal to have them without being licensed. I know ALOT of people want to help the animal and I get that. Some people know how to care for them, some don't. I'm not downing anyone for trying to help.
This little girl was not being fed at the correct times, was being fed formula too strong, not being fed the correct amounts. So now she has diarrhea, her stomach is bloated and too full. I've got to try to get her stomach to go down some and get her on a schedule.. this is a process. Let's hope baby girl makes it.

Lady had a tree to fall last night during the storm and these babies went with it. Both are boys. Both have bruising on their heads. One little guy his nose got tore from. While I was cleaning it it started bleeding which is a good thing. It's set in place, it will scab up now and heal. Let's hope for the best.

Please do not waste our time!!!! Skyler and me spent 30 minutes in the tractor supply parking lot waiting on someone to bring us a hurt cat. It's hot outside. Skyler was ready to go. I called as soon as I got there, I got no answer. I text I got no answer. I called again and got no answer. I messaged the original person who contacted me and was told someone else took the cat. Then the guy finally contacted me and said he left his phone in his car. Please y'all have the decency to let me know as soon as possible if plans change so I don't waste our time in a hot parking lot. 30 minutes was wasted. I don't get paid to help animals. I do it because I love them and want to help. Please don't waste my time.

Be careful when mowing. Rabbits have nest in the grass and turtles can be in the grass as well as other animals. Sadly someone was mowing and didn't realize there was a rabbit nest. The mama bunny got killed along with two other babies. These two managed to survive.
