She thanked her husband on Facebook for his love and loyalty. Then one comment made her question everything.
For their 12th wedding anniversary, Adelle Graham wrote a loving Facebook post about her husband, Travis. Friends and family congratulated them, but one reply stood out. It suggested Travis might not have been as faithful as Adelle believed.
She confronted him.
Travis confessed that he had hidden an affair from her for years.
Their marriage had already survived serious struggles. Travis had battled alcohol and opioid addiction and eventually entered rehab. Adelle had even told a counselor that she no longer loved the man he had become.
But after rehab and a major change in Travis’s faith and life, Adelle said she began falling in love with him again.
Then the old betrayal came to light.
Adelle considered divorce. Instead, they sought Christian counseling and attended an intensive marriage program. Forgiveness and rebuilding trust didn’t happen overnight, but they chose to keep working through what had been broken.
Eventually, Travis and Adelle founded The Noble Marriage, where they now use their own experience to help other struggling couples.
Their story doesn’t make betrayal acceptable, and forgiveness doesn’t erase what happened. But when there is genuine repentance, truth, change, and two people willing to do the difficult work, sometimes broken trust can be rebuilt. ❤️
