Voters will have a lot of candidates to consider when they go to the polls during this Tuesday’s primary election.
If no candidates secure a 50-percent majority, then the two top vote-getters of the respective parties will advance to the primary runoff election on Aug. 25.
The general election will be held on Nov. 3
Associate District Judge of Nowata County
The candidates are defense attorney Linda Branstetter and prosecutors James Pfeffer and Tanayia Hubler.
The election for the judge’s seat is non-partisan.
Nowata County Assessor
The Republican candidates are incumbent Chris Clouse and challenger Arthur Devon Friddle.
District 1 Nowata County Commissioner
The Republican candidates are incumbent Paul Crupper and challengers John David Hultz and Elizabeth Pravel.
District 6 State Representative
The Republican candidates are incumbent Rusty Cornwell and challengers Amber Dawn Ellis and Eli Richard.
District 10 State Representative
The Republican candidates are incumbent Judd Strom, Jake Bair and Cuen Funderburke.
The lone Democrat candidate is Isaac Mattox.
U.S. Senate
The Republican candidates for U.S. Senate are Kevin Hern, Sean Buckner, Brian Ragain, Nick Hankins and Gary Ty England.
The Democrat candidates are Troy Green, Jim Priest. R.O. Joe Cassidy Jr., N’Kiyla Jasmine Thomas and Ervin Stone Yen.
The Libertarian candidate is Sevier White.
District 2 U.S. Representative
The Republican candidates incumbent Josh Brecheen and Will Webb.
The Democrat candidates are Erik Terwey and Brandon White.
The Independent candidate is Ronnie Hopkins.
Governor
The Republican candidates are Charles McCall, Mike Mazzei, Leisa Mitchell Haynes, Gentner Drummond, Kenneth Sturgell, Jennifer Domencico, Chip Keating, Calup Anothny Taylor and Jake A. Merrick.
The Democrat candidates are Cyndi Munson, Arya (no last name), and Connie Johnson.
The Independent candidates are Jerry Griffin, Robert E. Brooks Sr., and Orlando Lynn Bush.
Lt. Governor
The Republican candidates are Darrell Weaver, H. Victor Flores, T.W. Shannon, Justin Humphrey, Brian Hill and David Ostrowe.
The Democrat candidate is Kelly Forbes.
Attorney General
The Republican candidates are John Echols and Jeff Starling.
The Democrat candidate is Nick Coffey.
State Treasurer
The Republican candidates are Todd Russ and Cindy Byrd.
The Libertarian candidate is Keifer Perry.
Superintendent of Public Instruction

Commissioner of Labor

Insurance Commissioner
