Originally from New York, I spent my formative years in England, from 13 to 21. This international experience has instilled in me a willingness to adapt and relocate anywhere for the right opportunity in this field. I have had a deep passion and admiration for wildlife conservation from a young age. I worked on a sea turtle nesting project in the Galapagos islands, which solidified my desire to wo
rk in conservation. I have always been a massive admirer of nature documentaries and their ability to showcase the beauty of nature and why it is worth protecting. I have maintained my involvement in film through my time as president at Newcastle University in Newcastle, England, where I managed a committee of 9 people, and membership grew from 90-215 during my tenure. I also helped organize and run the Nyack International Film Festival, where I helped solicit sponsorship, run their Instagram, and usher and manage guests throughout the festival. More recently, I have had the opportunity to go to South Africa for a month to do a 28-day wildlife filmmaking course with Africa Media. During this time, I learned how to film local wildlife on farms, beaches, and exotic wildlife on a five-day safari. Throughout this trip, it has solidified my desire to work in conservation through filmmaking. I am currently working on a five-minute documentary of our safari to add to my portfolio, and I have been using DaVinci Resolve as my editing program.
