Chocolate sourdough with candied citrus peels.
Do you remember I posted this on my stories a few weeks ago right out of the oven? Well it turned out to be the best sourdough I have made up to now! It had a lovely rise and the flavors combo was perfect to have with butter or clotted cream! I would sprinkle a bit more of the citrus peels on top and heaven was mine!
This was the ratio:
300g white bread flour, 90g malted flour, 30g coco powder, 30g sugar, 10g salt, 130g starter and 270ml water. Plus the citrus peels. I literally came up with this ratio as an experiment but it worked out

Caramelised Onion, Rosemary and Shropshire Blue Tart!
I made this tart for lunch on Saturday, which we ate with cauliflower soup and other picky bits and pieces. Made with homemade all butter crumbly shortcrust, a cheesy base of Shropshire blue and slow roasted (homegrown) onions with rosemary and Marsala! It got the serious thumbs up, so I’ll no doubt be making it again. We’ve had such a chilled weekend with our lovely family plus poochie (who is recovering from bramble injuries from a run around in Hatfield Forest a couple of weeks ago ). Lots of eating, drinking and chatting. That’s about all we did
