💛 It’s National Wellness Month — and your feed is full of 30-day resets and total overhauls. If you’ve looked at one and thought, “I don’t have the energy for all that,” this is for you.
Thirty years in medicine taught me that lasting health is almost never built in dramatic bursts. It’s built in small, repeatable habits that compound — quietly, day after day. And the research agrees: a new habit takes about 66 days to feel automatic, not 21 (Lally, UCL). So if a routine “didn’t stick,” you probably quit around day 12 — right when it was still supposed to feel hard. That’s a timeline problem, not a willpower problem.
So hear me: it’s not that you can’t stick to anything. You were handed an all-or-nothing plan built to collapse. It’s not you. It’s the pattern.
One move this week: pick ONE small habit and stack it onto something you already do. “After I pour my coffee, I drink one glass of water first.” Let the coffee be the reminder — and let 66 days do the quiet work.
As a three-time cancer survivor, I rebuilt my health with small, stubborn, daily choices — not heroics. You already know how compounding works; you built a whole life one choice at a time. Turn that same superpower on you. 💛
If this resonates, share it with a woman who needs to hear it. And if you’d like a partner in your corner, my discovery call is always open — just a conversation to see if we’re a fit to work together. 💬

There are several myths we have been sold when it comes to habit forming. Lasting wellness isn’t built in dramatic 30-day resets — it’s built in tiny, repeatable actions done consistently. The woman who has built a career and a family already knows how compounding works; she just hasn’t turned that lens on herself.
This month is National Wellness Month, so here's what I want you to do-pick one small step:

Pick one small habit — just one — and stack it onto something you already do (“after I pour my coffee, I drink one glass of water first”). Let the thing you already do be the reminder.

You are the one everyone leans on — and somewhere in there, your own wellness became the thing you would “get to later.” This National Wellness Month, later ends. Choose one small, repeatable thing and let it be yours.
If this resonates with you, or if you know a woman who has been running on empty while holding everyone else up, share it with her. What is one thing you’re going to choose? I’d love to hear from you. Mine in the comments 💛

It’s . Today I simply want to focus on the simple gesture of a smile. It’s a powerful nonverbal gesture that is recognized universally. Gospel song by Kirk Franklin called ‘I smile’. *I do not own rights to this song *

It's my 60th birthday and I can't help but wonder where did the time go? But I'm also grateful for the lessons and blessings through the years. The challenges that have made me stronger through the wisdom and resilience gained. For the fond memories (and not so fond ones). As I embark on this sixth decade of my mortal existence I look forward to living life with more boldness. To be unapologetic as I stand in my TRUTH. To make BADASSERY my love language. Here’s to many more decades of adventure

Today is International self care day. This weekend is my 60th birthday. And for most of my life, I marked it by giving something up. 💛

A new year, a new list of restrictions. Less of this, stricter about that. I called it self-care. It was self-denial wearing a better outfit.

Here's the difference I wish someone had told me sooner: self-denial asks what you can go without. Self-care asks what you actually need.

One shrinks you. The other keeps you going.

If you're the capable one — the one everyone leans on — consider this your permission. You don't have to earn rest. 🦋

🎗️ Victim blaming after a cancer diagnosis is more common — and more subtle — than most people realize. It happened to me more times than I can count. But there were two striking examples I share in this video.
Here’s what victime blaming looks like, how to spot it, and most importantly how to protect your energy when it shows up. You didn’t cause this.

Today we celebrate freedom.

But freedom is not just something we inherit. Freedom is something we must honor, protect, and use.

Because the real question is not just, “Are we free?”

The real question is: “What are we doing with our freedom?”

Freedom gives us the chance to dream bigger, speak louder, build stronger, love deeper, and become more than our circumstances said we could be.

So on this 4th of July, don’t just watch the fireworks in the sky. Light a fire inside yourself.

Use your freedom to become better.
Use your freedom to lift somebody else.
Use your freedom to build something that outlives you.

Because the greatest tribute we can give to freedom is not celebration alone.

It is contribution.

Happy 4th of July.
And remember: you have greatness within you.
