The more I think about getting a big wheelchair van that I can drive is getting me excited about getting out on the road, doing road trips again, just need to find a significant other who wants to go explore with me. I realized that I may be getting two big electric wheelchairs like I had before, still working with the VA to get one and the attorneys has arranged for one of the at fault insurance companies to pay for a new one that has been ordered this last week. I have listed my Jeep Cherokee on Auto Trader to sell. Bought it brand new to use to haul my electric wheelchair and I don't drive anymore so extremely low miles and mint condition inside and out.extremely low miles, mint condition, disabled veteran need to sell. washed.

You can help by sharing or donating to help buy the wheelchair van Ihttps://gofund.me/67ccf79e This worthy veteran needs an entire ADA home, van, and electric wheelchair for his quality of life being a double amputee. Read his heart breaking story and help all you can.

Please share this everywhere, thank you.

Let me tell you about Rhettman, a disabled US Navy veteran who served during the cold war period, who is a double, below-the-knee amputee (both legs), has chronic kidney disease and is on dialysis. After losing his first leg, his wife abandoned him in the hospital seven years ago. She moved to Oregon to live on a farm her father bought for her forcing him to live in a car for a year after his first amputation while also on dialysis and during a severe gall bladder attack. The VA did step up to help him get into place outside of his car, and the landlord promised to make American with Disabilities improvements to the small unit but refuses to do so even after six years. Rhett is forced to live in a small substandard non-ADA compliant apartment. The landlord was to widen doorways so he could get into the bathroom and bedroom, use the tub, and install a walk-in shower and bars, and this was never done. Rhett has, over the last seven years, lost both legs below the knees, no longer has working kidneys, lost a gall bladder, and has had more growing medical issues to where most of his time is spent in hospitals and various clinics and is forced to sleep in the living room on a bed and cannot use the bathroom but uses a bedside commode, can't cook for himself anymore. His quality of life is inferior and hardly acceptable for a man who honorably served his country and sacrificed so much for us. Rhett is a clean and responsible man, so it is killing him that he cannot do something as simple as enjoy soaking in a hot bath and risks his life just to take a shower we all take for granted; he has not had a hot bath in years and only manages to shower once every month or two because his place is not ADA compliant. We seek to build him a custom home designed for a disabled person, as well as replace his electric wheelchair that was destroyed on June 4th of this year when he was sitting on a sidewalk in his little town of Oak Harbor, Washington, a car jumped the curb and slammed into him in his chair pinning him between the car and a fire hydrant. He was ambulanced to two hospitals where it was determined that the accident caused him to have a stroke and he spent almost the entire late spring and this summer in hospitals had 7 separate surgeries, yes, 7 surgeries and is still trying to recover, and his prognosis is not good. The least we can do is help this honorable veteran by building him an ADA compliant home, replace his destroyed electric wheelchair, and provide an ADA compliant van/vehicle to transport him to doctor and clinic appointments every week, and help him to do simple things like bathing regularly, sleeping in a real bedroom, again, things we all just take for granted. After Rhett left the navy back in the 1980s, he spent his life serving and helping others, children, and families, always thinking and doing for others over himself, a truly selfless man. Now it is time for us to help and serve him. Please pass this story along and let’s make this happen for Rhett, he deserves our help. Give all you can and make a difference. Thank you, all funds are held and distributed by a Washington state non-profit for the purpose stated. Going in to my fourth surgery this week soon. I was informed this morning that they cannot fix my fistula and gave me the options of putting moving the fistula up pass my elbow into my bicep or a permanent tunnel catheter across my chest, which lasts about 5 years and can be prone to infections which can likely kill me. I said hell no to the fistula in the biceps, I see them in other people every time I go to dialysis and they are extremely grotesque and painful location. I have faced reality that my time on this planet is over and I have nothing to live for anyway, mo one. I have, once again seen who are real friends and blocked people that always passed themselves off as a friend but turned out to be latent enemies-haters all these years. I have also decided to begin the process of going to hospice and just let myself die peacefully. I give up.

I was hit by a car on a sidewalk on Saturday, June 4th, and if it wasn't for my huge electric wheelchair, it would have been lethal. I was hit directly by the car and was pinned to the ground between the car, my chair, and a fire hydrant. I was sent to the hospital and released later. Lots of cuts, abrasions, bruises, soft tissue damage, and sore muscles all over, I hurt all over and have a bad spasm in my right leg. I am fortunate to be alive, but my wheelchair is destroyed, and I cannot function without it. Pray for my recovery and the replacement of my electric wheelchair. And thank you for all of the well-wishing.
