Ive biked 100 miles, ran 100 miles and asked myself what would be next?

Luckily I stumbled across a 3 miles swim and knew it would be the next adventure

All week we were told how rough the wind and waters were going to be and how it was likely to get canceled so it was a mixed bag on what would happen

Luckily as I stepped on the beach at 6:30am the waves were mild but manageable so it was go time!

It wasn’t as bad as my 100 mile run overall but as I got to mile 2 my calve cramped hard and I almost decided to quit since I was struggling to just tread water at that point

If you stop running in a race you’re fine, if you stop swimming in the middle of the lake…. you’re not fine

Somehow I was able to massage my calve a bit and keep going but at the 2.5mile mark they canceled the race when the waves kept getting worse and worse.

I’m thankful for that considering I was choking on water every 10 seconds at that point 😅

Another adventure in the books, had a fun time trying my first swim race while having .the.blonde cheering me on

We’ll see what’s next to come 👀

It was a fun week from Michigan to IL as the years are starting to stack up

Each year brings something different, but being surrounded by loved ones will always stay the same 🎂

Talking politics, sports, reality tv AND interest rates all activate the same stimulus in our brain that likes stress/drama.

The thing is, if you’re seriously looking to make a change you typically have enough stress as it is.

You dont care to think about where interest rates are anymore because you’ve already accepted where they are and after running the concrete numbers know where you stand financially

So if you’re hesitant to take a step forward and you’re blaming interest rates and you haven’t looked at the concrete numbers, maybe there’s something else deeper that’s really holding you back?

Did you know you can have a wedding with salsa dancing and goats??

This couple had a super fun idea to have a dancing lesson at their reception followed by a performance

This was in Wisconsin so of course you have dancing on one side of the park and goats on the other 🐐💃

Earlier this month I had a village inspection on the very first apartment I lived in after buying my very first property 8 year ago this month.

It was weird and surreal to walk through it as all the memories came back.

Back then I had this vision of not “working” and having a ton of rentals to live off of since I hated working in an office so much and wanted to be a role model for my future kids as weird as that may sound.

That version of me was a bit nieve, but living out that journey and seeing how much has happened in 8 years is something that I’ll always cherish

After 31 years I finally did it…. Finally went to Chinatown 🥢

AND had real ramen for the first time (not instant ramen) 🍜

We had brunch with some family a few weeks back and for a good chunk of it I ended up playing around with William

To be honest, at first I was a little annoyed since I wanted to catch up with family instead but then I took a mental pause and asked myself is this how I really want to be right now…

If I don’t catch myself I always find myself wanting to be somewhere else thinking there’s always something better to do, but that always ends up ruining the moment I’m in and what I’m doing at that time.

Thankfully I caught myself and ended up having such a playful time with William. I totally forgot about everything else that was going on and was cherishing spending time with him when I know he won’t be this little for very long 🥲
